Prado Museum


One of the most important museum in the world. Placed next to Thyssen and Reina Sofia museums.


Built in the 18th century by order of King Carlos III, it was originally the Natural History Museum. Very near where built the Royal Botanic Garden and the Royal Observatory.


In the standard tour we will see the "Masterpieces": Velazquez, Tiziano, Tintoretto, El Greco, Rubens and Goya.

Reina Sofia Museum


Built by the Italian architect Francesco Sabatiny under the kingdom of Carlos III, it was originally the main hospital of Madrid.


Became the Modern Art Museum in the year of 1992, refurbish recently and extended by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel.


In this museum we can see the Spanish art of the XX, from the first artistic avant-garde, Surrealism and Cubism, to the latest art.

The "standard" guided visit will be focus on the “Guernica” by Picasso, and another paintings from Dalí, Solana, Miró and Juan Gris.





Thysen Museum


The Thyssen Collection is placed in the Villahermosa Palace, near the Prado and Reina Sofia Museums.

The Thyssen Museum host one of the best private art collections of the world. They have paintings from all schools of paintings: old Flemish or Italian Schools,Renassance, Baroque, Impressionism, Cubism, Pop Art, etc...


In the "standard" guided visit we will see the "history of the Painting", always inside the permanent collection.


There is another new area in the museum, open not a long time ago, known as the "Carmen Collection" that we don't visit.

Sorolla Museum


The Museum is the older Sorolla's house, when he died, his son donated to the Spanish goberment and convert it into a Museum, to show his best family paintings.


It was built in the beginning of 20th century. At the entrance of the building we can find an amazing Andalusian style gardens.


Inside the Museum, we can appreciate the beach and sea scenes, the family portraits, and some of the sketches of the paintings for the "Hispanic Society" of New York.

You cannot imagine all the Museums that we have in Madrid. They are less famous but very important as well:


National Museum of Archeology.


San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts.


Frescos is San Antonio de las Florida Church, painted by Goya. San Isidro Museum. History of origins of Madrid.


To visit this museums is necessary to pre book, unless, one month in advance.
