City of Alcala de Henares

World Heritage city, founded by the Romans, who named it "Complutum". Today is world renowned for being the city where Miguel de Cervantes ( writer of Don Quijote ) was born, and for being the site of one of the oldest universities in the world.

 

It is situated at 30 km. from Madrid.

 

In Alcalá de Henares we will visit the Museum House where Cervantes was born, we will enter in the wonderful Magistral Cathedral, we will see the Renaissance facade of the Complutense University, and admire the auditorium of the University and its spectacular courtyard Cisneros.

 

Also we will walk through some of the streets and squares, like: Calle Mayor, or Plaza de Cervantes.
